LAWO Housing/Consumer Attorney Position - Toledo Office
Legal Aid of Western Ohio, a non-profit law firm that provides high-quality legal assistance to low-income clients in western Ohio, seeks a dynamic, innovative temporary attorney for its Toledo office.
This position will focus on representing tenants experiencing issues with their Housing, including eviction defense and other advocacy efforts to prevent homelessness and improve family stability. Excellent legal and communication skills; experience with computer software and Microsoft Office; ability to relate well with people living in poverty; and commitment to legal services required. Previous experience in areas of housing, collection defense, or poverty law in general is highly preferred. Remote work is likely; however, court appearances are required. Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish is helpful. Membership in Ohio Bar or ability to be admitted by motion or temporary certification is required. Salary depends on experience.
