New Low-Income Broadband Program in Ohio
If you or someone you know is at or below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Line, you may be eligible for two pilot projects in Ohio that will give you a monthly discount on high-speed internet service, free digital training classes, and in some cases a free computer.
The Federal Communications Commission has set up two broadband pilot projects in Ohio to test different ways of providing low cost broadband service to low income customers. Frontier and Century Link are the companies offering the programs. Follow the link to a map that shows their service territories and to determine if you are eligible.
