Ohio Legal Services "acts as general counsel to Ohio's poor. It is committed to searching out the patterns, causes and solutions of the repetitive and fundamental legal problems facing our client community, and seeking legal recourse necessary to redress the grievances of our clients."

ABLE and LAWO are among five other legal services providers within the statewide Ohio Legal Aid delivery system.

Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation (OLAF) "administers distributions from the legal aid fund to six legal aid providers, which collectively serve the legal aid needs of the entire state."

Legal Services Corporation (LSC) "is the single largest provider of civil legal aid for the poor in the nation... LSC promotes equal access to justice by awarding grants to legal services providers through a competitive grants process; conducting compliance reviews and program visits to oversee program quality and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as well as restrictions that accompany LSC funding; and by providing training and technical assistance to programs."

National Legal Aid and Defenders Association (NLADA) is "the nation's leading advocate for front-line attorneys and other equal justice professionals - those who make a difference in the lives of low-income clients and their families and communities. Representing legal aid and defender programs, as well as individual advocates, NLADA is proud to be the oldest and largest national, nonprofit membership association devoting 100 percent of its resources to serving the broad equal justice community."
